| First of all, I ordered the VitaMix Pro through Amazon and was surprised at how quickly it was delivered, though I did regular shipping. I've had the VitaMix for almost a month now and have used it at least once every day, and sometimes more. I love it; it's a great product, and using it has become a part of my everyday routine. Since receiving our VitaMix, my husband and I have been drinking a quart of green smoothie daily (based on the book "Green for Life") and it's amazing how fast all the fruit and veggies are turned into very smooth liquid. The taste is surprisingly good! There are so many uses. I have also blended for recipes, made malts, fruit smoothes, etc., and have had great luck with all. I highly recommend this product! |

| This thing does everything they promised and more. Totally exceeded my expectations. I've been curious about Vita-Mix for years, but was always put off by the sense of "as seen on TV" I always got from their advertisements, and the fact that I never see them in retail stores (OK - and the price). Lately, though, I've started seeing them on major cooking shows and in use by the celebrity chefs so I thought I'd give it a try since I knew Amazon would take it back. All I can say is, "WOW!!". The first night I had it I literally threw a few cans of tomatoes, black beans, some garlic, a roasted red pepper, etc. into the bowl, spun it up for 6 minutes, and had one of the most delicious (and piping hot) bowls of soup I've ever enjoyed. Incredible. Also, it gives new meaning to the word "smoothie". Even with walnuts, flax seed and fruits with "pips" like raspberries the consistency of the final product is like a milkshake rather than finely crushed ice. Oh, and I ground my own whole wheat flour from wheat berries in under a minute. Buy one now!! |

Well, to my surprise this unit lived up to everything I had heard but thought was just hype. (especially when the hype was the county fair type ) The DVD with a real cook using it in real situations with tips and techniques that I could immediately use was big help in getting started. After a few days of use, I realized that this thing did not belong in the pantry. It is used too much to carry back and forth. After watching the DVD and the cleanup tips, I now appreciate why the blades are not detachable from the container. A few drops of dish soap, some water, a few seconds of whizzing, and it is clean!! unbelievable. What a waste of time if I had to clean the blades seperately. And I thought the Breville was very good.
The price is a bit breathtaking, but after using it for a month - the value and warranty do indeed make it cost effective over the long run.

I use this blender every single day, at least once, and have for over a year now. This blender makes the smoothest smoothies I have yet to taste. A bannana, some yogurt, milk, frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries (and a little soy protein poweder, if you like) make a quick and healthy smoothie. Soups are easy and do become as hot as you like in this blender.
There is a reason that every smoothie shop or serious restaurant has a vita-mix; they are the best! |

| The Vita-Mix is a well made heavy-duty blender, quite large and noisy and worth the price. This is not a regular blender. It turns fruits and veggies into amazing smoothies. It comes with a DVD and a cookbook with great recipes. I highly recommend it! |
